E-Business Opportunities

Posted by manjonka under E-Business Opportunities, E-Commerce, Internet Marketing

Are you looking for an opportunity to make extra cash?
There are literally tons of business opportunities online ranging from data entry, affiliate marketing, selling widgets on E-Bay, using Google AdSense, starting an e-commerce website and the list goes on.  Most online ventures require little to no startup cost compared to a traditional offline business.

For instance if you master a given craft, you can post an ad on craigslist and within an hour get response from propectice clients. If you have items to sell you can list them on E-Bay or place an ad on Craigslist in the “For Sale” category.

You can also start an e-commerce site to sell your very own products. Create a custom web site with a shopping cart and credit card payment processing. You can then start advertising your new site to bring traffic and convert those visitors into buyers.

Even if you do not have your own products/services to offer, you can still signup as an affiliate to advertise those products on behalf of the owner in exchange for a commission. Fortunes has been made this way and continue to be made to this day online using affiliate marketing. Aren’t we all the middle-man at any give time during a business transaction?

If you are an expert on a given field and like to write, you can start a blog to share your insights then sell advertisement space to companies offering products/services your blog readers might be interested in.
Not matter which business opportunity you venture into your financial reward will depend on your commitment to succeed. Your online business needs nurturing, working hard to stay ahead of the competition, continuous advertising to get fresh leads and new customers.

I am thinking about starting an online business selling products that I develop myself. I have read about the seven steps in one of your posts and I am looking forward to learning more from you.  What are the advantages of selling other people products over selling your own crafts?

The web offers more business opportunities then ever before and starting an online business is way cheaper than setting up a brick-and-mortar business. Once you have identified your target market and you deem it substantial enough than you can setup shop online and attract traffic. Whether selling your own crafts or someone else products is a matter of choice and sometime convenience.

Selling your own crafts requires you have the infrastructure to create the items, have enough inventory and off course invest time and money to have those items made. If you are new to the online business arena you might end up loosing more money than you already invested in your production line.

On the other end if say you decide to become an affiliate to sell other people products, then you have less overhead cost. Good affiliate programs provide all the logistics you need: website, banners, email templates and other educational materials that will help you succeed.

Because your main investment is time if you can find free sources of traffic, you have less financial risks to take. Beside this is a tremendous opportunity to learn and broaden you online marketing skills that will help you down the line should you decide to develop and sell your own products.

With all the cash and experience you gained as an affiliate you are now better prepared to take the next step.
Good luck in your online venture.
